Singapore: James Cook University

"You will never be completely at home again,
because part of your heart will always be elsewhere.
That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place."

indeed..
part of my heart will always belong to singapore :')

as you guys requested... let's take a little peek to my campus life!
James Cook University Singapore

I was took an English Language Preparatory Program at first (for around 3-4 months).. and then, i decided to continue my study to degree on October 2013.
(yeah u know i'm finally graduated just a few days ago WOHOOOO!)

yes, this is JCU's new campus!
they moved here not too long ago and i'm alrdy in love with this new campus~
(and they got new elevator too, so i did'nt have to sprint on the stairs just because i'm late for the class like in the old campus kkkkk)

and TADAAAAA!

the finger print attendance just really like a nightmare for me.
i didn't have a chance to skip the class, ohh.. but ofc i'm a good student tho B-)

they got a nice student lounge, they got very nice classes and they got a really comfy canteen!

the campus is located at 149 Sims Drive, Singapore 387380
so feel free to come if you planning to study here!

as you know.. i'm truly indonesian and when i first got there, i didn't even now a single person.
i was afraid that i don't have any friends, i was scared that the lessons would be really difficult, and i was nervous to get out from my comfort zone and meet the strangers out there.
i got too much concerns on my head before i even started.

exactly in the first day at school.. i found out that i'm the only one indonesian girl on my batch.
i'm just like WHATTTTTTTT ?!?!?!?!
i was really afraid at that time....

but as time goes by, i've tried to defy my fear. (cieeee haha)
i'm finally can get along with other people from many different countries.
i've tried to get to know them step by step, i've tried to hanging out with them, i've tried to blend with their culture and learned their native language sometimes (its really fun tho wkwk), and yes i did what i once thought was unthinkable..... having a lot of friends from various parts of the world!

eventho the lessons was really hard, the assignments that never ever stop came by, all the final exam that really scared me to death, all the tears i cried cos homesick thingy..
but u know what??

"I want to take everything I learned through travel and apply it to something."
so i really put so much efforts to overcome all the struggles that i've been through.
i was really working hard to finish my degree in exactly two years.
and yeah thanks God i did it!!!!!

thanks to JCU. i got them. i got all the precious friends. i got all the wonderful moments in my university life. and now i'm graduated... i'll miss every little thing that i did in JCU, i'll miss all the lecturer classes canteen all inside the campus and i'll really really miss all of my friends out there.
but wait........
let's give 'em a shout out!!!!!

still got some more... but i guess it will be a long long long post if i put all the photos here.
here the bonus! me and Mr. Andri Hadi - Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore.
such an honor Pak! :)

and yeah, i'll wrap it up for now!!

"Good friends never say goodbye, they simply say SEE YOU SOON"
and yeah....
though we drifted apart by distance, i just wanna say.....
see you soon to all my JCU's mates!!!
until we meet again :'))))))
